Dr. Selçuk Doğan is an Associate Professor at Georgia Southern University, specializing in curriculum and instruction, instructional design, and educational research methodologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida, where he also worked as an Instructional Designer and Researcher at the Center for Online Innovation and Production. His expertise includes online learning environments, adaptive courseware, and the impact of professional development on teaching effectiveness.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Doğan has contributed to numerous research projects, including studies on STEM education, instructional strategies, and program evaluation. Before joining Georgia Southern University, he held various research and teaching positions at the University of Florida, Marmara University, and Robert College. His work integrates quantitative and qualitative research methods to explore innovative teaching practices, curriculum development, and the role of professional learning communities in improving education.
With extensive experience in K-12 and higher education, Doğan develops AI-assisted lesson designs for teachers and conducts research on the pedagogical use of educational technologies. By utilizing frameworks such as UbD, Visible Learning, and the Marzano Model, he enhances instructional processes and supports teachers in effectively integrating AI into their classrooms.
