Burcu has extensive experience at the intersection of social impact, education, and gender equality, focusing on creating sustainable, equity-driven programs. She currently serves as the General Coordinator of Suna’nın Kızları, an initiative dedicated to empowering girls through creating safe learning environment, community engagement, and advocacy.

Her career includes multiple roles at AÇEV (Mother Child Education Foundation), where she most recently served as General Manager. During her tenure, she led advocacy campaigns, fostered multi-stakeholder collaborations, and directed innovative research initiatives that informed policy and program design.

Her corporate experiences at Koç Holding and UNDP contributed to her expertise in strategic planning and cross-sector collaborations. She was recognized as a 2019 Marshall Memorial Fellow with the German Marshall Fund and currently serves as a board member of KODA (Rural Schools Transformation Network). She remains committed to designing innovative solutions and fostering partnerships that address systemic challenges and centering equity for all.
